Why Is It The Continents Move Apart?

Why is it the continents move apart?

Explanation:

there are many theories regarding the answer why the continents are apart from each other but the most famous theory/explanation is the continental drift theory by Alfred Wegener. This theory states that over geologic time, like starting from Paleozoic to the present, the continents drifted from each other. Plate tectonics somehow is the known and most accepted today, this theory explains that continental plates moves from time to time and thus interacting causing it to move apart as geologic time passes.
